A ministry of Baptist Children's Home of North Carolina
Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina (BCH) is announcing important changes to its wilderness ministries at Cameron Boys Camp, Camp Duncan and Oak Ranch.

After months of prayerful assessment, BCH leadership and the Board of Trustees have determined that consolidating all wilderness-based ministry efforts onto one property is the best -- and most sustainable -- means of faithfully stewarding the resources entrusted to the organization. The programs at Cameron Boys Camp, Camp Duncan and Oak Ranch – as they currently exist – will come to an end effective December 31, 2025.

The Duncan property in Aberdeen, NC will be repurposed for new opportunities to serve vulnerable children and families. More details will be announced in the months’ ahead.

There is a deep legacy of ministry at Cameron Boys Camp, Camp Duncan and Oak Ranch. Countless lives have been transformed at these sacred places through the dedication of staff and chiefs who have invested themselves physically, emotionally and spiritually so those they served could experience true hope and healing. We give heartfelt thanks to the staff and to every supporter whose prayers, generosity, and commitment made that impact possible. The stories of the lives forever changed will remain an enduring testimony to God’s faithfulness. - November 20, 2025
